The MMS Environment

Morningside Montessori School offers a small, secure, nurturing environment where children can explore their natural love of learning and take their first steps toward independence. Our teachers and staff create an environment where each child can develop according to his or her own pace and interests. At the same time, they become part of a warm and supportive community of teachers, parents and other children.

Located on West 100th Street between West End Avenue and Broadway, Morningside occupies the entire sixth floor of the Temple Ansche Chesed building. It is composed of four sunny, fully-equipped classrooms housing a wide variety of animals, plants and interesting projects. These along with a spacious kitchen, bright, comfortable offices and a large rooftop playground provide a world of opportunities for learning and growing.

As well, we are located just two blocks from beautiful Riverside Park and have the vibrant Upper West Side neighborhood to explore, too.
