Families who qualify for financial aid based on financial need will be able to submit an online financial aid application for September 2018 enrollment beginning October 2, 2017.
MMS is only able to offer a limited number of small financial aid awards. Full awards are not available at this time. Funding is provided by the fundraising efforts of Morningside Montessori families. Due to our limited funds, we do not offer financial aid for the two weekday Twos Program.
All steps must be completed in order for your application to considered.
(1) Submit an admissions application. Upon receiving your application, our Director of Admissions will contact you to schedule a tour.
(1) Download and review the Family Guide to Financial Aid.
(3) Email supporting documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. Supporting documents include the 2015 and 2016 tax returns and W2 statements of the child's parents/guardians.
The financial aid application fee is $49. Qualified families will automatically receive a fee waiver based on an automatic means-test approach. Based on your responses to different questions in your online financial aid application (step 2 above), your fee will be waived if you meet the criteria. At the payment page, you will be notified if you qualify for a waiver.
Morningside Montessori School is partnered with the School & Student Services (SSS) by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Families interested in applying for aid will complete an online application on SSS, after which, a Parent Financial Statement (PFS) is generated. Applications are redacted to ensure anonymity and submitted to our Financial Aid Committee for review. The Committee is composed of three to four members of Morningside Montessori School's Board of Trustees.
