Being two years old is a wondrous milestone in a child's life! Two year-olds are discovering that they are separate individuals, developing self-awareness, exploding into language, and fortifying their physical prowess everyday.

September 2018 Enrollment

The Experience

A cozy classroom and engaging materials and activities welcome and encourage the wonder in the child. We have prepared an environment that is designed to meet the needs of the developing two year-old, with a small child-to-teacher ratio of 4:1.  Our space promotes challenging physical activities for the active two year-old. With a 3,000 square foot terrace playground that boasts a vast playscape beneath endless sky and sunshine, our growing two year-olds can enjoy each other's company and develop their physical abilities.

Our Twos Program enriches vocabulary, receptive and expressive language skills, and it fosters self-awareness and self-regulation. Led by Montessori-certified teachers specializing in infant-toddler care, our Twos Program contains the elements that encourage two year-olds to observe, question and seek answers.

Unique to Morningside Montessori School is our language immersion curriculum. We take advantage of a child's proclivity for language acquisition by offering two of the most in-demand foreign languages of today: Spanish and Mandarin.

Each year, MMS is able to offer a limited number of partial financial aid awards. Funding is provided by the fundraising efforts of Morningside Montessori families.

Please note that, due to our limited funds, we do not distribute financial aid for the Two Weekday option in our Twos Program.

Morningside Montessori School is partnered with the School & Student Services (SSS) by the National Association of Independent Schools. Families interested in applying for aid will complete an online application on SSS, after which, a Parent Financial Statement (PFS) is generated. Our admissions office redacts and prepares all applications, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.  Applications are then submitted for review to the MMS Financial Aid Committee, which is composed of three to four members of Morningside Montessori School's Board of Trustees.

In September, information about how to apply for financial aid will be made available on this page. To be considered for aid, you must complete the financial aid application before January 12, 2018.
