In Discovery Programs’ gymnastic classes, your child will learn how much focus, practice and dedication it takes to master a skill and the joy and pride it brings to ‘own’ it! Give your child the pleasure of a great physical workout that will leave them smiling and feeling relaxed and good. Gymnastics give children more confidence in their bodies and movement, and helps them know their ability to master other physical challenges. It builds strength in their arms, chests, backs, legs, and core, while building bone density during the ages when it is important to do it to protect you later in life.

Class will be held at Discovery Programs in the basement of the Ansche Chesed building.

A S.T.E.M. class provides a solid foundation of knowledge that a child can build upon while inspiring innovation. Learning the foundations of science, technology, engineering, and math, can aid in the development of problem-solving skills and creative thinking abilities, while also teaching them to collaborate effectively. Hands-on activities, experiments, and projects foster curiosity in a fun and engaging way. This helps preschool children develop valuable skills that equips them to be future thinkers and doers.

Science: Observing, making connections, and asking questions about how things work.

Technology: Using tools, identifying problems, and trying different solutions.

Engineering: using tools, identifying problems, designing and creating solutions, and building and inventing things.

Math: Measuring, counting, patterning, exploring shapes, and comparing.

Spring tuition: $900

Laura Folque, a Toddler Program teacher and lead teacher of Small World Language: Spanish, is excited to share her love of art! Children will explore the work and techniques of different artists. Then they will experiment with various techniques and complete mixed media projects inspired by their artist studies. Additionally, Spanish language will be infused into the program, specifically reviewing the colors and the names of the various art supplies that will be utilized throughout the semester.

Chelsea of Savi Yoga centers her Yoga Adventures around fun and engages the children in yoga and mindfulness practices. Chelsea is a former Montessori teacher and she weaves science and technology themes into the adventures, encouraging the children's curiosity and love of learning. Through yoga poses, breathing practices, interactive games, and partner work, the children will practice gross motor and self-regulation skills necessary for executive functioning. Through exploration, story, and play, they will practice the social and emotional skills needed throughout one's life.
