Afternoon Adventures: Enrichment at Morningside
We are pleased to continue partnering with Discovery Programs, Chelsea of Savi Yoga, and our own Laura Folque and Sansan Hu for our Fall 2026 semester of Afternoon Adventures, our extended-day enrichment series!
Available to our Early Childhood Program students, these fabulous extracurricular classes are supplemental to our school-day curriculum. Sign up for all days or pick and choose.
Programs will run from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
Students who dismiss earlier can either leave as planned and return to attend an enrichment class, or extend their day at Morningside until 4:30- this will be billed at our $25/hour rate.
Students who dismiss at 4:30 are all set to go right into an Afternoon Adventure!
Tuition is non-refundable. If your child misses the school day due to illness, they will not be able to join for the Afternoon Adventure that day.

In Discovery Programs’ gymnastic classes, your child will learn how much focus, practice and dedication it takes to master a skill and the joy and pride it brings to ‘own’ it! Give your child the pleasure of a great physical workout that will leave them smiling and feeling relaxed and good. Gymnastics give children more confidence in their bodies and movement, and helps them know their ability to master other physical challenges. It builds strength in their arms, chests, backs, legs, and core, while building bone density during the ages when it is important to do it to protect you later in life.
Class will be held at Discovery Programs in the lower level of the Ansche Chesed building.
12 sessions (No class September 21 or October 12)
At least 5 children must sign up for this program to proceed.

Zoom Into the Scientific World in a hands-on STEM enrichment program designed to nurture a child's innate curiosity through exploration, creativity, and discovery. Science becomes meaningful when connected to multiple forms of learning. Children may paint with natural pigments, model moon phases with cookies, explore weather through movement, sing science songs, or investigate chemistry while cooking. Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia principles, children will learn through inquiry, observation, and hands- on experimentation.
14 sessions
4 children must be enrolled for the class to run.
Fall tuition: $630

Laura Folque, a Toddler Program teacher and lead teacher of Small World Language: Spanish, is excited to share her love of art! Children will explore the work and techniques of different artists. Then they will experiment with various techniques and complete mixed media projects inspired by their artist studies. Additionally, Spanish language will be infused into the program, specifically reviewing the colors and the names of the various art supplies that will be utilized throughout the semester.
13 Sessions (no class November 25)
At least 4 children must enroll for the class to go forward.

Chelsea of Savi Yoga centers her Yoga Adventures around fun and engages the children in yoga and mindfulness practices. Chelsea is a former Montessori teacher and she weaves science and technology themes into the adventures, encouraging the children's curiosity and love of learning. Through yoga poses, breathing practices, interactive games, and partner work, the children will practice gross motor and self-regulation skills necessary for executive functioning. Through exploration, story, and play, they will practice the social and emotional skills needed throughout one's life.
13 Sessions (no class November 26)
At least 5 children must enroll for the class to go forward.
Fall tuition: $650
This deposit will secure your child’s spot for Gymnastics at Discovery for Fall 2026. You will be billed for the total balance prior to the start of the program.
This deposit will secure your child’s spot for STEM with Sansan for Fall 2026. You will be billed for the total balance prior to the start of the program.
This deposit will secure your child’s spot for Art with Laura Folque for Fall 2026. You will be billed for the total balance prior to the start of the program.
This deposit will secure your child’s spot for Yoga with Chelsea from Savi Yoga for Fall 2026. You will be billed for the total balance prior to the start of the program.
